Story of Hong Kong Police force trying to outwit the Traids (mafia) and vice versa. In order to achieve this each camp puts a mole in the other camp. Yan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) has been working amongst the ruthless triads as an undercover agent for the police force in the last ten years. Likewise Ming (Andy Lau Dak Wah) has been working in the police force as a mole for the triads in the same ten years.
Yan is now working for Hon Sam (Eric Tsang Chi Wai) a mafia boss. A big drug deal with Thai drug lords is about to take place. Yan has tipped off his police boss, Inspector Wong, the only person to know his hidden identity. As the operation takes place, Yan sends messages to the police force via morse code. Ming on the other hand is sending messages to Hon Sam via his computer. The drug handover is foiled and kilos of cocaine is thrown into the sea to hide the evidence.
Both the police force and the triads know that there is a mole amongst their troops. Now it is a race against time to uncover the respective moles and the stakes are high.
