Long, long ago, there was a world in which mages and humans existed in harmony. Deep contrasts in their two cultures, however, caused differences that could not be overcome between the two races. The humans feared the great power of the mages, and hunted them, trying to erase their kind from the earth. God felt pity for their plight and created a world of magic for them, which they could go to in peaceful exile. In this way the mages faded from the Earth, and all contact between the two peoples ceased. Each continued on their own paths, the humans that of civilization, and mages that of magic. A few hundred years have passed since that time, and the mages are hopeful that, once again, the two races can live in harmony together. In the hope of finding a way to bridge their differences, the mages send out their young acolytes for training in the world of the humans. If the younger generations of the two peoples can find a way of connecting, perhaps the acolytes could gain important knowledge that will enable the two groups to live together again. This year three young wizards will cross over into the world of humans... Two of them are elite, and one a total drop out. Can they reunite the two peoples of Earth and the World of Magic? But she can't even perform beginning magic and is, unsteady atop a broomstick to boot. Will this witch be able to handle her training? | | Megumi Yuuhi, Rokusuke's childhood friend. This girl is not a morning person. Megurni Yuuhi is the cheerful girl next door. Megumi and Rokusuke are bosom buddies from childhood and have spent their lives growing up together. At school, Megumi is known as 'Yuuhi the Reliable,' but at home she is as fazy as can be. She is not a morning girl and if Rokusuke didn't wake her up, then she would never make it to school. But Megumi and Rokusuke's relationship hits the rocks when the witches hit town. What does rate how in store for these two young flames? | | Drill, Rich, spoiled and an all-around tomboy. A wealthy young brat from the Magical Kingdom, Drill is inseparable from her pet dog, Poochie. Drill uses her moneyed background as the yardstick against which all others are to be judged, often to a severe and an irritating degree. However, Drill is oblivious that she is perceived as pushy, making her appear even more so. When something unfortunate happens, she sometimes takes it out on her precious pet Poochie. Her magical skiils are normal, but her knowledge of potions and mixing them is above average making her among the top in her class. The question is whether this girl, born with a silver spoon in her mouth and toting a big attitude, can make it in the world of humans. | | Ponica, Cool, calm and composed, Ponica's marks at Witchcraft School are top notch and she is always cool as a cucumber. Her hard-boiled, no-nonsense personality makes for explosive spurts of cutting comments. Ponica has a strong rational bent and talks about herself as if she were a stranger. She is short on emotional energy and expressing herself - she doesn't laugh, cry and looks like she is in a foul mood. Ponica feels no need to communicate unnecessarily with others. What will she learn from life in the human world? | | Manamu Manamura, The shy classmate. Manamu is shy and keeps to herself. She is a classmate of Rokusuke and Megumi and a bit of a bookworm that helps out in the library. She has a poor sense of balance and, while not ill, is not much for exercise. She's the type that always gets sick on the bus. Other people make her nervous and she is easily taken advantage of by others. She is trying to make herself stronger, but there are obstacles on the road to this newfound independence ... | |
